Hoyt Bowstringer - Elk Bowhunting Design
Working with Hoyt Archery, we wanted showcase their legacy of craftsmanship and precision. They have been creating high-quality archery equipment since 1931. They needed an apparel graphic that looked as timeless as the brand itself while connecting to archery and bowhunting.
We created a vintage-inspired, rugged design that captured both the heritage and strength behind Hoyt’s name, blending authentic hunting elements with archery-specific details a real bowhunter would notice.

This project was designed to honor Hoyt’s original craftsmanship while highlighting their connection to the outdoors and big game hunting.
We wanted the piece to feel heritage-driven and hand-built, something that could live on a shirt, a sticker, or hanging in a pro shop.

Key Design Elements:
Elk Skull & Antlers: representing big-game hunting and Hoyt’s outdoor roots.
Bowstring Border: the circular frame is built from a bowstring, complete with visible D-loop, small details that nod to the archery community.
Vintage Lettering & Texture: gives it a nostalgic, worn-in look while keeping it clean and timeless.
Color Palette: earthy tones with subtle orange accents to echo the outdoors and hunting culture.
The end result is a design that feels equally at home in the backcountry or in retail stores, a blend of archery heritage and outdoor lifestyle.

Personal Connection
This collaboration hit close to home. Richard, the designer behind the artwork, a lover of bowhunting who personally shoots a Hoyt Alpha X, the bow that inspires many of our archery related designs.
“Designing for a brand you actually use gives you a different level of appreciation for the product. You understand how the bow works, how a D-loop looks, and what elk antlers really need to look like.”
This connection between designer and outdoorsman gave the project an authenticity that resonated strongly with Hoyt’s audience.

Performance & Community Response
The design launched through Hoyt’s official website and rolled out to retailers like Scheels and small pro shops nationwide. It was well-received throughout the hunting community, appreciated for its handcrafted look and attention to the details real archers and hunters notice.
