Prairie Red Outfitters – Branding and Apparel
Prairie Red Outfitters is an Oklahoma-based waterfowl and whitetail outfitter offering world-class hunts in the heart of the Central Flyway. The owners reached out to us to help bring their vision to life after acquiring the company and rebranding it under a new name, Prairie Red Outfitters.
We started by developing their complete brand identity, then continued our collaboration when they were picked up by Scheels for their retail launch. From there, we’ve designed a number of apparel graphics to expand their product line, strengthen their in-store presence, and spread brand recognition.

Our goal for Prairie Red was to build something unique, custom, and recognizable, a mark that would stand out both on a billboard and embroidered on a hat.
The primary logo was designed with clean geometric shapes and intentional negative space that formed a stylized duck in flight. It needed to feel bold and refined, while simple enough to hold up during embroidery or screen printing.

To tie back to the outfitter’s heritage, we designed each element of the brand to have a timeless look and feel.
“We wanted to give Prairie Red an identity that spoke to their roots — something that felt timeless and true to the waterfowl while being unique compared to all other brands in the duck hunting industry.”

After completing the rebrand, Prairie Red reached back out to us ahead of their debut in Scheels stores. We created multiple new apparel graphics that extended their story beyond the logo, focusing on heritage, tradition, and the lifestyle of waterfowl hunting.
Each piece was built to represent their brand’s core message: Honoring Traditions.
Prairie Red Heritage Badge, one of the designs we created, features a flying mallard duck, Oklahoma silhouette, and hanging feathers, representing tradition and pride in their home state.

Man’s Best Friend Design, another apparel graphic we designed, has hand illustration of a Labrador Retriever holding a duck. Duck hunting dogs are such a key part of hunting waterfowl. This design quickly became a favorite among customers.
These graphics were applied across hoodies, hats, and shirts, helping establish a consistent brand story from the field to the retail floor.

In the Field and On the Shelves
Prairie Red’s new identity and apparel line made an immediate impact. The Scheels retail display sold out of all hats shortly after launch, proving how well the new branding resonated with their target audience of dedicated waterfowl and deer hunters.
Beyond retail, the Prairie Red branding can now be seen throughout their operation, details within the lodge, signage, feeders, drinkware, apparel, and other branded details that create a unified visual experience across the entire outfitting business.
We’re currently collaborating on more apparel graphics that will soon appear in Scheels stores again.

Behind the Brand
Prairie Red Outfitters stands for authenticity and respect for the hunt. Their professional guides, deep local expertise, and access to prime private land make them one of Oklahoma’s premier outfitters.
Working with brands like Prairie Red aligns perfectly with what we love to do, create designs that feels real and built to last, just like the people behind them.
