Outfitter Logo & Branding

A Rugged Brand for a Big-Game Hunting Guide

When Unbranded Outfitters came to us (referred by another client), they needed a brand identity that represented who they are:

Not trendy.
Not flashy.
Not overproduced.

Just real, tough, backcountry hunting.

The kind of hunts where you ride horseback into steep country, pack out bulls, and earn every step.

The Goal

Create a bold and timeless logo system + supporting graphics that:

  • Feel like traditional western cattle brand meets modern hunting brand

  • Represent their name: Unbranded — wild, free, untamed

  • Look great on hats, hoodies, decals, and trucks

  • Resonate with serious western big-game hunters

They didn't want clip-art antlers or a generic badge. They wanted the authenticity of their story and voice to be embedded within the brand itself.

Brand Direction

Vintage Western • Rugged • Bold • Timeless

We built a full brand system around the soul of their operation, one of their actual horses and the iconic memories of big bull elk packouts.

Primary Mark

A hand-drawn illustration of their horse, inspired by real photos of packouts, complete with antlers loaded on the saddle.

Nothing about it is generic.
Every line was drawn by hand.

Supporting Marks

We built multiple layouts so the brand can flex across:

  • Hats & apparel

  • Social media and online

  • Decals & truck graphics

  • Merch

The horseshoe icon is a nod to western roots, while the typography is distressed, rugged, and vintage. Just like something you'd see stamped into old wood at a cattle ranch.

The primary illustrated logo featuring the real packout horse carrying a bull elk.

Nothing here feels mass-produced.
It feels earned, just like a successful hunt.

What Makes This Brand Stand Out

Most outfitter logos are a silhouette of a deer and the name typed out.

The difference with these are:

  • The primary logo is a hand-illustrated scene, not a stock image.

  • The branding system works across multiple application.

  • The western elements connect the brand back to heritage and lifestyle.

Favorite Moment

It’s so fun to tie a design to something that’s meaningful to the client and connects to real world experience.
Unbranded Outfitters go on real adventures, have real grit, and connect with real people.

That’s what separates outdoor brands that mean something from ones that just “have a logo.”
