Branding for a Hunting TV Show

Jake Brake Hollow reached out to us after seeing our past work for other hunting and outdoor brands. They needed something bigger than a graphic or a merch piece. They needed a brand identity that could live everywhere. On a trailer. On apparel. On hats. On camera for a national audience.

Their goal was to create a bold, instantly recognizable hunting brand that stands out in a crowded industry.

Jake Brake Hollow is a hunting outfit that also films a hunting TV show. They travel the country chasing all kinds of wild game, showcasing the grit and obsession that goes into every hunt. The brand needed to reflect that personality.

This was not just apparel graphics. We developed the entire brand identity.

Jake Brake Hollow needed a system that could flex across an entire ecosystem:

  • Trailer wrap graphics

  • Signage

  • Hats, apparel, and merch for fans

  • Content and visuals for their TV show

  • Social and digital presence

Nothing existed before we stepped in. No typography. No colors. No icon. No brand foundation.

We worked together to build everything.

Design Approach and Creative Direction

When you hunt across the country, you experience different terrain, landscapes, and species. But on Jake Brake Hollow’s property, the hunting is laser focused: deer and turkeys.

We wanted the icon to tell that story.

The Icon

We created a simple but symbolic mark:

  • Antlers guarding and framing the center

  • A turkey track locked inside the negative space

  • A circular badge that nods to hunting tradition

  • A subtle notch hinting at the shape of a rifle scope reticle

The simpler the icon, the harder it is to make original. But when you get it right, it becomes iconic.

Typography and Color

Custom everything.

  • Custom typography that feels rugged and strong, while maintaining legibility

  • A bold color palette designed to stand out both on screen and on physical product

  • A brand system that feels tough and real, not trendy

There are a lot of hunting brands that look the same. Jake Brake Hollow could not be one of them.

A fresh approach inside the hunting industry

By combining iconic iconography, custom typography, and a flexible badge system, the brand feels established and instantly recognizable.

Favorite Part of the Project

Designing the icon.

When a logo is simple, every detail matters. Achieving originality with minimal shapes is one of the hardest things to do in brand design. But when it works, it becomes timeless.

Jake Brake Hollow now has a mark that works on a hat, on a trailer, or on TV. That is the level of versatility outdoor brands need to stand out in the industry.
